Mr. Verkamp has focused most of his practice on litigation, real estate, estate planning, probate, and government law. He has over 27 years of experience as an Arkansas litigator and counselor. Clients for whom Mr. Verkamp has provided assistance include cities, state agencies, state office holders, planning and development districts, intermodal authorities, solid waste districts, and other districts and facility boards. He has experience in Federal and State tax issues, contract drafting and negotiations, governmental issues, and corporate formation and restructuring.
Mr. Verkamp is a graduate of the University Of Arkansas School Of Law and holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Mr. Verkamp was a former member of the Arkansas House of Representatives where for his second and third terms he was selected as a top 10 legislator by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Newspaper. Mr. Verkamp was chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and many other committees and subcommittees while in the legislature. Mr. Verkamp has been selected for listing in the Mid-South Super Lawyers.
